Nothing beats the joy of doing what you love!

After graduating last February, while my fellow graduates and friends are looking for a job I've been busing myself thinking of things to do up until the end of April ('coz i'll be going on a trip afterwards). I spend almost a month in the province helping out in our family business but it gets really boring. And then I made up my mind to study again! This time to study my one true love FASHION<3. I've been wanting to enroll in a fashion school for a long time now but there's always something/someone that's preventing me from doing so.

But now I'm enrolled in 3 courses at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines (FIP).Check out some of there course offerings in the link. And I'm enjoying every single class even though it's from 9am up to 6pm.

Basic Fashion Design
Different kinds of skirts (these are my homework for monday.XD)

These are some of my freehand sketch!:)

Basic Pattern Making
Some of the Patterns that I've made

Basic Sewing
The very first pencil skirt that I have made!

The really good thing is when I finish the basic and advance courses I can opt to join the graduation show wherein I can showcase 4 of my designs in public! and hopefully to get my first client.:)

It never occured to me that I would enjoy going to school and doing my homeworks! Guess nothing beats the joy of doing what you love!<3

Beauty and BRAIDS

According to Seventeen's Poll, it is the Best Trend of 2011!!

BRAIDS!

There are different variation of braids some of them are as easy as hell and some of them are really complicated!

1. Fishtail braids - According to wikipedia: "A fishtail braid resembles a French braid in its smoothly woven appearance, but divides the hair into only two sections instead of three. This style was called the "Grecian braid" in the 19th century."

It's really pretty simple.:) I tried it.:)

Leona Lewis in a side lose-fishtail plait.

Fergie, with a perfect fishtail plait.

Rhianna, joining the band wagon with perfect fishtail braids.

Fearne Cotton rocking that plait with a red lipstick.

2. French Braids - Starts from the crown of the head
Alesha Dixon with a sideway french braid

3. Basic English Braids - simplest and most common braid

I love Blake Lively! Any hairstyle would look good on her! She loves braids, it looks good on the runway with her fabulous gown, she wears it with a casual dress and even in Gossip Girl.

Jessica Simpson with uneven braids!

Other celebrities who join this trend!
Kristen Bell

Kim Kardashian

Selena Gomez

The Blazer Buzz

The Upper East Side "IT" girl and the whole cast of GOSSIP GIRL is back!

I spotted a look of SERENA in the 2nd Episode of Season 5: Beauty and The Feast
3rd Episode of Season 5: Jewel of Denial

I've been wanting to have this kind of blazer for a long time now!

Especially when you're in the office and the aircondition is freaking cold! And if you are out, you can opt to fold and sling it in your bag!

So I found two shops that have the most TO-DIE-FOR blazers! www.romwe.com and Forever 21.

Michael Kors' Spring Collection 2012.:)

This collection is like a high class of chic amazonians that got stuck in the jungle and rocked there way back in for Michael Kors' fashionshow.

This bib necklace was just amazing! I was inspired by this necklace, maybe I could make a DIY necklace this weekend.:)

Combining animal prints and feathers are really amazing!

Kuala Lumpur (KL) is definitely a place to shop!

You just have to plan your visit:
1. Make sure that they are celebrating a holiday!
'coz there will be a huge sale EVERYWHERE!!

2. Make sure that your hotel is near the shopping district!
We stayed at the Royale Bukit Bintang - www.royalebintang-kualalumpur.com
Tip: Hotels also have promos and if you are lucky, you can have a FREE night!:)

3. Make sure that you'll spend more than 4 days in KL!
We spend 4 days in KL and we didn't have that much time, we're always in the rush and that's not a good feeling!

After that, you are ready to shop and shop!

 3. Sungei Wang Plaza : The Thriftshop
I would like to call this a Thriftshop. The prices are really cheap. Some of the clothes are only 25 ringgit which is about 350 pesos.
